Promotion Requirements

To qualify for a Diploma in Business Management, a candidate must pass at least one of the following instructional offerings:

  • Computer Practice N4
  • Introductory Computer Practice N4
  • Computerised Financial Systems N4

When Computerised Financial Systems N4/N5 is chosen, Financial Accounting N4/N5 must be taken simultaneously, or should have been passed beforehand.

Articulation Options

Vertical Articulation: Articulates into N5 and N6 levels.

Horizontal Articulation: Articulates with cognate Higher Certificates. N4+N5+N6 and the appropriate period of practical work experience (18 or 24 months) enables the learner to be awarded the National N Diploma, Level 6.

Purpose

This qualification aims to provide learners with technical, theoretical, practical, and workplace knowledge and skills required in their chosen occupational area. It enables learners to progressively obtain the National N Diploma after completing the required practical work component.

The part qualification has value in the workplace as it equips learners with vital knowledge and skills for entry-level positions and can be used for updating, upskilling, and continuing education and training in related occupations.
